The Walking Path Construction is now COMPLETE!

walkingpathfinished

What started as an idea 8 years ago by Kelly Clark and her girl scout troop (those girls are probably in college now) grew into something that is truly a community based project:

– The SAO ran the 2012 carnival and used 100% of all proceeds to pay for the walking path. If you spent any money at the 2012 carnival you contributed.

– Recreation Chairman Mike Guadagnino applied for and received a Bergen County Recreation Grant in 2013 to be used for the walking path.

-The SAO fund raised an additional few thousand dollars that went towards the path.

-The balance was paid for by the Recreation Trust.

No tax payer dollars paid for the design, planning and construction of the walking path – again Truly A Community Project.

The Walking Path is .65 miles around.
