The annual Oktoberfest “Under the Big Tent” planning is under way. Major sponsors are Reno’s Appliance and The Market Basket with proceeds benefiting the Franklin Lakes Youth & Recreation Foundation. In the past the Foundation has donated uniforms and equipment to local teams and this year they are helping pay down the debt on the Pulis Avenue turf field. The Foundation fills in the gaps for the recreational needs in Franklin Lakes for all ages.
New at the Oktoberfest is a vintage Photo Booth. Guests step behind the curtain, pictures are taken and out pops a strip of six photos reminding them of the evening. Guests will also dine on authentic German cuisine and toast with Oktoberfest Spaten beers. Enjoy the Oompah band followed by the local rock band favorite, Crisis. There will also be a live auction and a 50/50 raffle.
