The first night of the Oakland three day carnival started off under picture perfect skies, with two more super summer nights expected for Friday (5pm-11pm) & Saturday (4pm-11pm)
The band, TrainReck, rocked the rec fields with live music while residents of all ages wandered the fair grounds playing the games of chance, going on rides, and feasting from the various non-profit vendors whose booths lined the perimeter.
There is something for every appetite, and attendees need to walk the line enjoying the aromas before making any eating decisions. Plenty of picnic tables are set up right next to the booths, with others scattered about the grounds so folks can sit and enjoy their meal, dinner, snack.
Looks like a great time – wish I had stayed another week!
