Kevin Shippy Named Executive Director of RBARI

WELCOMES KEVIN SHIPPY AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

rbari2016Oakland, N.J., June 17, 2016 – Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc, today announced the hiring of Kevin Shippy to the position of Executive Director.

As the Executive Director, Kevin will be responsible for the overall operations of the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, which includes the cultivation of new members, applying for and securing grants for the refuge, and attracting new donors on both the individual and corporate level.

“Kevin comes to us with the experience and knowledge to take our shelter to another level where we can be even more effective in our mission to SAVE MORE LIVES”, stated Board of Trustees President Arlene Jurovitsky. She continued, “We look forward to working with Kevin and it would appear our adoptable Kanga (pictured below) already approves”.

Kevin was formerly the Executive Director for the American Diabetes Association of Greater New York, leading three metro area offices serving more than 15 million residents within a 100-mile radius of NYC. Prior to that he was the Executive Director for the NJ March of Dimes Foundation in Pine Brook.

The longest tenure of his professional career was as Deputy Commissioner and Chief Marketing Officer for the Professional Bowlers Association, where he headed its corporate sponsorships, communications and worldwide broadcast relations.

An animal enthusiast and accomplished fundraiser, he is excited to direct his passion for pets and animal rescue with RBARI’s mission.
