On December 14th Manito Elementary School held a Dance-A-Thon to help raise money for text books and school supplies for the Little Egg Harbor School District which was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Today Principal Adam Silverstein shared the news that the Students raised over $7,800. Below is his letter:
December 23rd, 2012
Dear Parents,
On behalf of the Manito faculty and student body, I wanted to thank you for helping us to raise over $7,800 for our friends in Little Egg Harbor. The money will be used to purchase school supplies and toys for elementary school children who lost most, if not all, of their personal belongings to Hurricane Sandy. Earlier today, we called the district to inform them of our donation. Needless to say, they were absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of the Manito community. Please know that your contributions have helped to place a smile on the face of a child during what continues to be a very challenging time for many of our neighbors.
All the best to you and your families for a wonderful holiday and a very happy, peaceful New Year.
Sincerely,
Adam Silverstein
Principal
