“Drop In and Say Hello” to the New Library Director Peter Havel

The Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter Havel as the new Director of the Oakland Public Library. Peter, who comes to Oakland after a successful career as the Director of the Cedar Grove Library, will join the Library on Monday, March 16th.
The Library Board is delighted to have Peter as the Director of the Library. He brings a marvelous combination of experience, creativity, enthusiasm and financial expertise to the position and we know he will continue the great progress our library has made in recent years.
Oakland residents and patrons are invited to meet Peter at a “Drop In and Say Hello” Open House that will be held on Tuesday, March 24th from 2-7 pm in the lower level of the Library.
