NOTICE TO HISTORIC RESTORATION GENERAL CONTRACTORS
Ramapough Conservancy seeks experienced historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in wood shingle roof restoration; copper flashing repairs; masonry repointing, repair, and rebuilding; finish carpentry restoration including siding, windows, cornices and soffits; and surface preparation and painting for the Phase 1: Exterior Restoration of the Van Allen House, which is located at 1-3 Franklin Avenue in Oakland, Bergen County, New Jersey. This property is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of the historic Places. All prospective bidders must demonstrate experience with projects of a similar nature that followed the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the treatment of Historic Properties. This project is being funded by the Bergen County historic Preservation Trust Fund; all contractors shall be required to comply with the requirements for projects funded with public monies. All respondents will be notified in writing of the decision as to qualifications. Only those determined to be pre-qualified Historic Restoration General contractors will be invited to submit bids for the work.
