On April 1, 2013 at approximately 3:49 am, it was reported that that a burglary had just occurred at the Krauszer’s store located in Ringwood, NJ. A description of the vehicle involved was given as a two door black Honda, with multiple occupants which reportedly fled toward Skyline Drive.
Moments later, PO Noury observed a vehicle matching that description pass him on Skyline Drive. This vehicle was subsequently stopped by PO O’Neill. The three occupants, a 20 year old female from West Milford, a 23 year old male from Mahwah and a 41 year old male Garfield resident were all determined to have been involved in the Ringwood burglary and were subsequently placed under arrest.
Proceeds from the burglary were recovered and turned over to detectives from Ringwood PD. The individuals are also suspected in several additional residential burglaries in Ringwood and surrounding jurisdictions. These matters remain under investigation.
On April 2, 2013 as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Yawpo Ave., Ptl. Rowin arrested the three occupants of the vehicle for various drug-related offenses including the possession of hypodermic needles, the possession of suspected heroin, the possession of marijuana and the possession of drug paraphernalia. Two of the three occupants, all of whom reside in Emerson, NJ were committed to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of posting bail. The third occupant was released on her own recognizance and given a date to appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.
On April 5, 2013 a Jersey City resident reported the theft of three rings valued at approximately $4000.00 from the wash room of a commercial establishment located on Potash Road. Ptl. Noury investigated.
