policecarJULY 20: A resident from Ramapo Valley Road reported being a victim of debit card fraud after she was notified by her bank of three suspicious and unapproved transactions on her account. Officer Bart Pagerie handled the initial investigation. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

JULY 20: While on patrol, Officer Bryan Rowin initiated a motor vehicle stop on I-287 for an observed moving violation which resulted in the arrest of two Oakland residents that were known to have active criminal warrants issued by the Fair Lawn Municipal Court. A 21-year-old male, and a 25-year-old female were taken into custody for processing, during which the male party was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was posted for the female party and she was released from custody. The male offender was issued numerous summonses including driving with a suspended license and subsequently lodged in the Bergen County Jail by the Fair Lawn Police Department in lieu of bail.

JULY 21: While on patrol Officer Joseph Noury located a resident on Mountain Lakes Road that was known to be a wanted party by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department. The 46-year-old offender was taken into custody without incident and later turned over to the Sheriff’s Department for final disposition.

JULY 22: A resident from Hiawatha Blvd reported being a victim of credit card fraud after he had discovered that a line of credit had been opened and charges made against it as well as receiving notification that he was denied a line of credit from another retailer that he never applied for. Officer Stephen Broek handled the initial investigation. Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.
