policecarFEBRUARY 22:  A resident of Franklin Lakes responded to headquarters to report a theft of personal property while she was at the Lakeside Fitness Club in Oakland.  Report taken by Officer Daniel Kern and forwarded to the Oakland Detective Bureau for follow up.

FEBRUARY 25:  Officer Michael Griffin investigated a walk in complaint regarding an Oakland resident being the victim of identity theft.  The resident stated that he discovered his identity was compromised when he attempted to file his taxes and learned that someone already filed a return in his name without his knowledge or consent.  The incident was reported to the IRS by the victim.  Report filed.

FEBRUARY 27:  A resident from Oak Street reported being a victim of credit card fraud after he discovered an unapproved transaction on his account.  Officer Joseph Noury handled the initial investigation.  Report taken and matter forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

FEBRUARY 28:  During the course of a welfare check of a motorist by Officer Luis Gaviria, it was determined that a 22-year-old female resident of Oakland was impaired from consuming alcoholic beverages and was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence.  The offender was taken into custody, processed, and later released into the custody of a family member.

MARCH 1:  Officer Donald Harvey investigated a theft of an all-terrain vehicle from a residence on Truman Boulevard.  The quad was removed by unknown actor(s) during the overnight.  Assistance in the investigation provided by Detective Edward McDermott and from the Bergen County Sheriff’s BCI Unit.
