Oakland, with 2,255 voters out of approximately 8,775 registered voters, passed the K-8 budget by 77 votes. The Yay’s numbered 1,166 and the Nay’s 1,089. The budget passed was for 24,306,778.
Wyckoff, with 3,426 voters out of approximately 12,000 registered voters, rejected the K-8 budget by 22 votes. The Nay’s numbered 1,724 and the Yay’s 1,702. With the highest percentage of voter turnout, residents rejected a $31,808,113 budget
Wyckoff came the closest to breaking the 30% voter turnout with approximately 29%, followed by Oakland at 26% and Franklin Lakes at 24%.
The high schools’ budget, voted on by all three towns, passed by a margin of 102 votes with 3,939 Yays and 3,837 Nay’s. The budget was for $44,123,887.
