Gimme! Help Oakland

suntan_helpAviva Labs, Inc., a global professional sunless tanning products manufacturer, along with Hot Tropics Salon in Oakland, NJ announce a special gift for Patricia Krentcil of Nutley, NJ, the so-called “Tan Mom.”

Aviva Labs Natural Spray Tanning is sending Krentcil a gift basket full of their tan-extending skincare that gives skin a healthy golden brown color. They also want to introduce her to a safe alternative to harmful tanning bed rays, namely sunless spray tanning.

Tammy Berzak, Owner of Hot Tropics Salon, is offering her a coupon good for 10 free Aviva spray tans at her salon. She explains, “I would be happy to spray tan Patricia to give her a natural look. The Aviva Labs spray tan solution gives the best tan. I have tried other solutions on my customers and they always want me to go back to Aviva. The Gimme! Brown formula works great for neutral and olive skin toned clients and I swear by the Winter Glow formula for my very fair clients, I have one that comes back every week faithfully and he loves the Winter Glow.”

The substance in a spray tan that makes the skin brown is DHA (dihydroxyacetone). DHA is an FDA-approved simple carbohydrate derived from sugar cane. DHA causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids on the top, dead layer of the skin. A spray tan generally lasts 7-10 days.

Given worries about skin cancer and tanning beds, the sunless tanning industry is increasing in demand. According to a recent CNN Money Article citing an IBISWorld report, Self-tanning Product Manufacturing is one of America’s 10 fastest growing industries. Makers of bronzing lotions and sprays are expected to see their sales grow 18.1% in 2012 and it is forecasted that fake tanning products will grow to become a billion-dollar industry within the next five years.

“Patricia’s gift basket is on its way along with a coupon good for free spray tans at Hot Tropics near her home in New Jersey. There’s no need to sacrifice the health of your skin to achieve a natural tanned appearance. I believe this gift will not only help her but also bring awareness to the general public, especially American teenagers, that they can be tanned in a healthy way,” informs Brian Petersen, National Sales Director for Aviva Labs, Inc.
