The Sports Association of Oakland thanks long time Travel Baseball manager Dan Logatto! Coach Logatto completed an 8 year run as the skipper of the “Cardiac Kids”. Along the way he took his team to Cooperstown in 2009, spent countless hours teaching the boys how to play baseball, always kept sportsmanship first and led his team to the 2010 Spring NEBAS Championship. Besides this historic run, Dan was an integral presence in the Oakland Baseball program. His past duties included t-ball and Minor’s division coordinator, recreation umpire, recreation coach, t-ball manager, travel baseball director, President of the Oakland Travel Baseball Organization and long time voice of Oakland’s In-town All-star games. His tireless volunteer devotion to the children of Oakland is just one aspect that makes Dan a great man.
Once again the Sports Association salutes Oakland treasure Dan Logatto as he ends his run with Oakland baseball! Thank You Coach Logatto!
Dan was my son’s travel baseball manager and I could not have picked a better one! Dan is one of the nicest people I know in town – thank you again for your dedication Dan!
