On the Job – October 24, 2012


opdonthejobOn October 10, 2012 Ptl. Broek conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of Krauszers on a vehicle that was parked in the handicapped parking stall without authorization.  The driver of the vehicle, who was waiting for his passenger to emerge from the convenience store, showed significant signs of intoxication.  He was field tested at the scene and determined to be under the influence of alcohol.  The 39 year old Oakland resident was arrested and transported to HQ where he submitted samples of his breath for chemical analysis.  He was charged with D.W.I. and parking in a handicap stall.  He was later released into the custody of a family member and given a date to appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.

On October 12, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle stop on I-287 for speeding, Sgt. Sanzari arrested two nineteen year old passengers in the vehicle for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and the possession of suspected marijuana.  Both individuals were transported to HQ and later released on their own recognizance. The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons for speeding and also released.  All charges are scheduled to be heard in the Oakland Municipal Court.
